Heading to the White Isle this summer but not sure which parties you need to be at? Dance music expert and Ibiza resident Johnny Lee can point you in the right direction.

1. Venue: Pacha
Clubnight: Wisdom Of The Glove

Check-Out: Guy Gerber, Four Tet
Not even Guy Gerber can rationalise the name of his mysterious new night, Wisdom Of The Glove. But that doesn’t matter, after all, the artsy Israeli is currently producing some of the lushest house music around. Expect Wednesdays at Pacha to look and sound totally twisted, as Gerber’s hypnotic house sound corkscrews in tandem with the esoteric décor.
2. Venue: Privilege (Vista Club)

When: Every Tuesday from June 22
Check-Out: Laurent Garnier, Paco Osuna
Still an unknown entity amongst most British dance crowds, elrow is easily the craziest and most colourful party on the island. Gaze up at the costumed stilt walkers, soak up the confetti vibes and buy your sequinned top hats and tech-house tambourines with elrow money. Then, if you’re still sane at 7am, watch the sun break across the pulsating glass panels of Privilege’s new Funktion-One powered Vista Club.
3. Venue: Ushuaïa Tower
Clubnight: Be Crazy
Starts: 5pm
Where: Playa d’en Bossa
When: Every Wednesday
Check-Out: Jean Claude Ades, Tiefschwarz
Second only to elrow in terms of party vibe, Be Crazy relocated to Ushuaïa this summer after an uber successful stint at cabaret-club Lio. Jean Claude Ades’ unique melancholy brand of tech-house music is tough, yet reassuringly sexy and melodic. Entry to Ushuaïa’s opulent new Tower is free, however, admission is limited and extremely selective, so don’t turn up to this one lacquered in sand and cerveza.
4. Venue: Ibiza Rocks Hotel
Clubnight: Gig Nights
Starts: 7pm
Where: San Antonio
When: Every Wednesday
Check-Out: Chic, Redlight
Nothing much changes beneath the sun – if you want to listen to live music in Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks Hotel is still the place to mosh. Expect the weekly musical output to shift between folk, rock, pop, and even bass music sounds, with disco-pioneers Chic headlining the 2013 agenda.
5. Venue: Pacha
Clubnight: Solomun + 1
Starts: 11:59pm
Where: Ibiza Town
When: Every Sunday
Check-Out: Solomun, Tensnake
In demand Hamburg-based label boss Solomun is hosting a brand new night at Pacha this summer. Musically, the gigs are laced with soul and groove, and DJ booth has been repositioned in the middle of the dancefloor to add to the intimacy of the occasion. Catch Solomun plus one guest performing all night long.
6. Venue: Space

Starts: 10pm
Where: Playa d’en Bossa
When: Every Thursday from July 4
Check-Out: Richie Hawtin, Magda
Enter is the circle-shaped brainchild of rolling techno’s skew-haired messiah, Richie Hawtin. Last summer, Thursday’s at Space were of an oriental theme, tasted like sake and reverberated to hard, sci-fi rhythms. The after parties were just as good, so make sure you float around in Space until Friday morning and then follow Hawtin to the beach.
We Love Sundays are another legendary night of note at Space. Groove Armada, Disclosure and Fatboy Sliim are just some of the names playing this summer from 4.30pm until 6am.
7. Venue: Amnesia
Clubnight: Together
Starts: 11:59pm
Where: San Rafael
When: Every Tuesday from June 18th
Check-Out: Sub-Focus, Friction
Gangs of tranced-out pessimist’s said that broken beats wouldn’t work in Ibiza, but everyone’s favourite bass culture shindig Together has proved the geeks wrong. There’s no Annie Mac this year, but crossover artists like Eats Everything and EDM idol Afrojack have been recruited to fill the speckled sonic void.
8. Venue: Sankeys
Clubnight: VIVa Warriors

Where: Playa d’en Bossa
When: Every Sunday from June 23
Check-Out: Steve Lawler, Darius Syrossian
Steve Lawler and his crew of double-tough tribesmen have embraced the shadows of Sankeys subterranean Basement Room and darkened the minds of the visiting neon street fashionistas. Keep an eye out for Chicago house production protégée Darius Syrossian, who is the wisest member of Lawler’s underground gang.
9. Venue: DC-10
Clubnight: Paradise
Starts: 11pm
Where: Playa d’en Bossa
When: Every Wednesday from July 3
Check-Out: Jamie Jones, Loco Dice
This summer, the Paradise music policy has shifted somewhat to coincide with the increased pitch of Jamie Jones’ recent production pursuits. For this reason, expect club-life at DC10 to feel a little tougher this summer, as the deep house vibes are augmented by sweeping techno moods.
10. Venue: Pacha
Clubnight: Insane
Starts: 11:59pm
Where: Ibiza Town
When: Every Friday
Check-Out: John Digweed, Fritz Kalkbrenner
These days, Friday nights at Pacha are all about driving melodic techno and real house music, with underground advocates like Joris Voorn and DJ Sneak taking dancefloor purists on a more intelligent acoustic journey.
